CV and LinkedIn Workshop

February 25, 2015 @ 9:30 am - 12:00 pm

| £30

What does the session involve?

How can you make sure that your CV stands out from the others? How do you write a CV when you haven’t worked for a while, or if you’re looking to change roles or industries? The first part of the workshop will help you to answer these issues, as well as give you a few ideas around addressing gaps in skills, knowledge and experience.
The second part will be about looking at building a LinkedIn profile (or updating the one you have). I’ll take you through setting up a profile, as well as utilising some of the incredibly useful functions of LinkedIn to help build your network and increase the likelihood of finding interesting and relevant jobs.
Finally, we’ll look at how to use social media to help you with your career planning.

Who is the workshop aimed at?

This is a perfect session for anyone who has been out of the job market for a while and is a bit nervous about how to get stuck in again.

Anything else we need to know?

Small group size for maximum benefit. Bring your laptop if you’d like to create as we go… also bring your CV if you have one (no matter how out of date it is), and if you have examples of the kind of role you’d like to apply for, bring that too.

Cost includes refreshments and guidance notes to take away with you…
